This course is designed to train all STSM, Section Supervisors and individuals identified for progression into those roles. It is designed to develop a person's knowledge, understanding technical skills and management skills. It is therefore particularly suited to persons required to prove their capability in these areas. Areas include-  Recruit Personnel Manage sickness, leave and staffing levels for direct reports  Conduct 1:1 performance meetings for direct reports Manage development of self and others Conduct developmental/annual capability reviews Undertake Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Manage discipline Carry out Investigations in line with required protocol Build effective relationships Manage team dynamics Maintain local Trade Union relationships
